Digital transformation in the legal sector: more than just technology, it is strategy

In recent months I have seen how the conversation about cybersecurity has changed radically. It's no longer just about firewalls or antivirus: today we're talking about AI-powered attacks, phishing attacks that are almost impossible to detect, and tools that adapt to human behavior in real time. But the most curious thing is this: The same technology that poses a threat can also be our best defense.

Well-implemented AI tools are helping to detect anomalous patterns, automate responses and anticipate attacks. The problem is when we think that by “installing an AI solution” we are already safe. The reality is that many teams still do not have solid processes in place, nor clarity on how to assess the risks that accompany these new tools. From my experience, what makes the most difference today is:

  • Trained teams (beyond technicians, also users).

  • Security strategies focused on human behavior.

  • And above all, a culture of continuous improvement that understands that security is never a completed project.

AI is not the “silver bullet”, but if we know how to use it judiciously, it can help us make a real leap towards a more proactive and resilient cybersecurity.
